Gabriel Ramirez joined War News Radio in January, 2009. He has covered topics ranging from Iraq’s census crisis to the “Iraqization” of Jaramanah, Damascus. At Swarthmore, he majored in Sociology/Anthropology and wrote his thesis about Iraq’s disputed areas. He’s a native Spanish speaker and is on his way to the perfect his Arabic in the Language Flagship Program.
