Hunger Strike Revives Allegations Of Mistreatment At Afghan Prisons

Allegations of prisoner mistreatment in Afghanistan have resurfaced after at least 100 inmates went on hunger strike over poor living conditions at the country’s largest prison. As the Afghan government prepares to take over security at prisons throughout the country, lawmakers and rights activists are increasingly expressing concerns about prisoners’ welfare.
