Syria’s president Bashar al-Assad shared this video by email with his wife Asma; it shows a clip from America’s Got Talent in which an illusionist appears to saw his assistant in half. The emails came to light as part of secret cache obtained by the Guardian which show the concerns of the Assads’ inner circle as bloody repression was carried out in Syria’s cities
