Yemen election for president ends rule of Ali Abdullah Saleh

Abdu Rabu Mansour Hadi, who served as Ali Abdullah Saleh’s vice president, is the single candidate. Saleh is the fourth leader to be ousted by ‘Arab Spring’ uprisings.

The nation of Yemen went to the polls Tuesday in historic balloting that ended the 33-year rule of Ali Abdullah Saleh, culminating one of the longest uprisings of the “Arab Spring.”
