Elliana Bisgaard-Church
Elliana Bisgaard-Church ’13 is an honors political science major, honors Islamic studies minor fascinated by the Middle East — its peoples, its conflicts, its cultures — and the rest of the world’s perception of, and interaction with, the region. When not researching her next story, she might be memorizing Arabic verbs, hurdling at track practice, reading over lines for a play, or eating cheese. Her favorite piece in her involvement with War News Radio, titled “Phoning Home”, covered Pulitzer-prize winning journalist David Rohde’s capture by the Taliban and his book on the topic, written with his wife Kristin Mulvihill.
