Reuben Heyman-Kantor joined War News Radio in the fall of 2005. After having graduated with a degree in political science, he spent the following twelve months studying intensive Arabic at the American University in Cairo.
Reuben has done a variety of stories for War News Radio, ranging from an interview with the mother of an injured American soldier to one with the head of Iraqi Airways. He has also done pieces on whether the US is planning to build permanent bases in Iraq and the lack of American military linguists that specialize in Arabic. An Arabic speaker himself, Reuben reads through the Arabic press for stories that aren’t being covered by the US media.
Outside War News Radio, Reuben enjoys playing soccer and reading. Before joining the program, he studied abroad in Syria.
