This week on War News Radio, we dip into our archives and put together a few of our favorite pieces from the past spring.

This week on War News Radio, we mark this year’s Memorial Day with some of our favorite pieces about the men and women who serve in the U.S. military.

First, we head to Philadelphia for the unveiling of a new memorial to local service members who have died while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Elizabeth Threlkeld and Jess Engebretson report. Read the transcript here.

Then, the mother of a young Iraq war veteran battling Post Traumatic Stress Disorder speaks about her son’s challenges readjusting to life in the US. Elise Garrity reports.
