Major 7.2 earthquake rocks southwestern Pakistan

According to the United States Geological Survey, a magnitude 7.2 earthquake has struck southwestern Pakistan, near the border with Afghanistan.

A 7.6 magnitude earthquake in 2005 in northern Kashmir killed nearly 75,000 people.
